Ez way driving south haven driver#
It was 3:30 a.m., dark, and the driver was drunk. The officer deliberately crashed his Chevy SUV patrol car into the side of a wrong way driver on California 101, stopping her. On February 25 in Goleta, Calif., a very brave California highway patrolman got a report of a wrong-way driver coming his way. Wrong-way driving crashes have caused 2,008 deaths nationwide between 20 that is an average of about 500 per year, compared with an average of 375 deaths per year from 2010- 2014, an increase of more than 33 percent in the four most recent years included in the study. We were driving south on Route 8 in the right lane, a two-lane divided highway - when all of a sudden we encountered a car going north in the passing lane. Our family was returning from a visit to Gettysburg and Hershey, Pa. The first time occurred in August 1995 on Route 8 near Winsted. Personally, I have encountered a wrong-way driver on highways in Connecticut on four occasions. On Thursday, March 24, at 3:53 p.m., yet another wrong way crash occurred in East Windsor on an entrance to I-91. That’s seven dead Connecticut motorists in less than a month. On March 23, yet another wrong way driver on I-84 claimed a motorist’s life. In both instances the wrong way driver was in the left lane, traveling at night. The other accident killed four women in Hartford on I-84. One crash occurred on I-91 near Meriden, where a car was traveling south in the northbound lanes. In late February, there were two wrong-way crashes in Connecticut that resulted in six deaths. Apparently a slick website does not guarantee anything.Firefighters responded to a wrong-way crash in Texas last month. I wrote a long note to BAJA BOUND about what happened, but never heard back from anybody. He left, I drove off, and went back across the US border. The cop said to both of us: " OK, are you both satisfied?" We said yes. I told the guy I was in pain, needed to go to the dentist, and offered him US$300, He said yes and took the money. I said: "no, forget it - I have insurance!" I asked the CHUBB agent to intercede and handed my phone to the Policia - they talked for a while and nothing happened - off to the Police Station!! Meanwhile, the other guy said that US$1,000 would settle his interest. I called CHUBB in Mexico to report the incident and for help. We would have to go to the policer station to work this out - not good! He called in a Policia Municipal officer who spoke little English. We got out to exchange information and discuss - my spanish is extremely poor while the other driver spoke better English. We waived each other down, drove a couple of blocks to a side street.

Almost immediately, I had a non-injury minor-moderate collision with another car. Having purchased a daily CHUBB insurance policy through BAJA BOUND, I drove across the border for a dental appointment.

This time I did, and it is not a pretty picture: I have driven in Baja many times, but never had to use my Mexican auto Insurance. This review is about the insurance process in Mexico with US agents. I can strongly recommend both Baja Bound and CHUBB. This is by far the best treatment ever received from an agency or insurance company. They even reimbursed the $300 payment (or bribe or. UBB, and the insurance company made me whole by paying for damage sustained to my car. Baja Bound, unbidden on my part, reached out to me to assist.
